Classically Romantic Black and White Summer Wedding: Emely + Al-Tarik

There were many unique and special things about Emely and Tarik’s wedding day, but one major thing was that their wedding was held on a Wednesday! Almost their entire guest list showed up even though it was on a Wednesday and it was an absolutely gorgeous summer day!

Emely did a first look with her bridal party and dad, and shared a special first touch with Tarik while reading their vows to each other privately. Their ceremony was held in the European Gallery, decorated in white petals and candles. It was a short, but sweet ceremony ending with the newlyweds jumping the broom and enjoying ten minutes of alone time before being swept up to take photos.

The entirety of their wedding was spoken in English and Spanish by the officiant and DJ, which allowed their guests to feel comfortable. The guests enjoyed a buffet-style dinner and had envelopes on each of their tables to write advice to Emely and Tarik for them to read on their anniversary. Also, while the guests were eating, Emely made a secret exit to surprise her guests by taking her hair out of its bun and cutting it shoulder-length. Scroll below to see the pictures of this amazing transformation!

With Emely’s new hairdo, she and Tarik were ready to cut their cake! They had a beautiful four-tier cake that was completely made out of faux materials except for the top tier, which they cut. They also had sheet cakes in the back for guests to enjoy. The dancefloor was packed throughout the evening and guests enjoyed a mix of music from pop to reggae to bachata and merengue. At the end of the evening, Emely and Tarik enjoyed a private last dance to “Every Kind of Way” by H.E.R and made their grand sparkler exit!
